“ Buddha would be Green – Me too, I am Green

Buddha was born as his mother leaned against a tree for support. He attained Enlightenment seated beneath a tree , and passed away as trees stood witness overhead. Were Buddha to return to our world, therefore, he would certainly be connected to the campaign to protect the environment…This beautiful blue planet is our only home…” ( HH , 2019: 31)

“The dramatic decrease in biodiversity must be given top priority.” ( HH , 2019:32)

“ More and more people understand that the survival of humanity is at stake. ….” HH( 2019:33).

“ We need a revolution of compassion based on warm-heartedness ….” ( HH, 2019:35).

“ I really appreciate Gretha Thunberg’s  efforts ….” (His Holiness, 2019:67”)

Process 

We begin with  a prayer led by Lyndy followed by a reading and reflection on ways   we can support this plea, ending  with a prayer and dedication.
