Visiting Teacher: Geshe Thubten Sherab

Join us and experience the kind, gentle and humorous teaching style of an accomplished master, Geshe Sherab.

Geshe Thubten Sherab, a student of Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa since childhood has been the resident Geshe at Thubten Norbu Ling Centre in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA since 2011.

Geshe-la was born in 1967 in a small village in the province of Manang, western Nepal and has held the position of headmaster of the Mt Everest School at Kopan Monastery and was appointed to serve as acting Abbot of Kopan monastery for one year. Since 2014, Geshe-la spends six months a year as resident teacher at Thubten Norbu Ling Centre and six months teaching students around the world – he is very popular and engaging with a wide knowledge and understanding of Emptiness.

Learn simple techniques to help apply our understanding of emptiness in daily life.

What is the self and more importantly, what is it not? Discover the answers in the teachings on Emptiness and learn how to apply the Four-Point Analysis.

Walk to Morialta Falls and Picnic with Geshe Sherab

Everyone welcome to come along for a walk up to Morialta Falls and for a picnic after in the picnic grounds.

Please bring along some vegetarian food to share.

Meet in the car park at 11am for the walk or 12 noon to join us for the picnic lunch in the park.
