Geshe Tenzin Zopa – Visiting Teacher

Geshe Tenzin Zopa was not only the top student in all the examinations of debate, writing and memorization in Sera Je, he also completed his studies and graduated with flying colors as a geshe in March of 2007. Geshe Tenzin Zopa speaks fluent English, Tibetan, Nepali, Hindi and a little Mandarin. Currently, Geshe Tenzin Zopa is the project director of a number of monasteries and nunneries in the Tsum Valley. He is also undertaking the important responsibility of overseeing the physical, mental and spiritual development of Tenzin Phuntsok Rinpoche, the  unmistaken reincarnation of Geshe Lama Konchog.

Buddha House are privileged to host Geshe Tenzin Zopa for a full programme of events and teachings over 5 days.

Walk and Picnic with Geshe-la
11am-3pm Wednesday, 5 July

11am walk to Morialta Falls (meet at the Morialta Falls Trailhead).
1pm picnic lunch in the Mukanthi Nature Playspace and Picnic Area.

Please bring some vegetarian food to share. BYO chair – dogs can attend the picnic but must be on a leash at all times.

Finding Deeper Meaning in our Lives
Guru Devotion – The Passing of a Teacher – Karma – Reincarnation
10:30am – 4:30pm Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 July

During the weekend Geshe-la will talk about the importance of relying on a Guru: how to avoid mistakes regarding the Guru and how to maintain our devotion after our Guru has passed away.

He will also explain the process of finding their reincarnate – for example in his case Geshe Lama Konchog – and currently Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s reincarnate.

Lunch and afternoon tea provided both days.
