End Of Year Appeal

Dear Members & Friends of Buddha House,

As we move to the end of this most interesting year, I am pleased to inform you on how well we are doing at Buddha House.

Increasing attendance at our meditations and teachings show that your engagement with Buddha House is a very important part of your life. We are fortunate to have Gen Thubten Dondrub continuing to share his knowledge on many topics so relevant to daily life and the difficult times people are experiencing.

The work of the Spiritual Program team is remarkable. The volunteer base at Buddha House has increased as more people have been taking on roles or expanding what they do.  As your Director, I am incredibly proud that Buddha House continued to operate effectively throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.  Innovation, lateral thinking and hard work ensured Buddha House continued to deliver programs to members and friends benefitting not only those here in South Australia, but also interstate and overseas.

There is a lot of dedication at Buddha House, from volunteers right through to the Board, working harmoniously and without expectation.  This dedication is evident in things like the complete transformation of the front garden, major maintenance jobs being carried out mostly by volunteers, our Board working through processes and practices to operate in a more resilient manner, and the arrival of three beautiful statues. All this comes from generosity – in giving time and effort, professional skills, and financial support.

It is with this generosity in mind, that I am reaching out to you regarding our important End of Year Fundraising Appeal.  Buddha House has repaid $220,000 of the mortgage on our beautiful centre.  We have $180,000 to repay.  Donating to the Building Fund will help us achieve long term goals such as replacing the current rental accommodation for our teacher with a purchased residence that will become an asset of Buddha House.

Just as recent donations to the Buddha House Building Fund paid for recent major roof and gutter repairs, any donations would really help achieve our goals and are totally tax deductible.

I hope you are able to contribute to the future of your Buddha House and appreciate whatever you can contribute toward our  End of Year Appeal.

On behalf of the Board, I wishing you a safe and happy holiday season with your friends and family.

Kind regards,
Lyndy Abram

Donation over $2 is
fully tax deductible
