Lam Rim Meditation

Sundays 9:00 – 10:00am

Each week a different topic from the “Graduated Path to Enlightenment” (Lam Rim) is explored. Some understanding of Mahayana Buddhism would be helpful but it’s not essential.
Led by experienced students.

Learn To Meditate

Mondays and Tuesdays 6:00 – 7:00pm.
Beginning simply, with a gentle focus on mindfulness of the breath, these classes are suitable for students of any level. The basic technique can lead to a greater awareness in daily life, as well as providing additional benefits for relaxation, stress reduction and contentment.

Led by experienced senior Buddha House practitioners

Open Meditation

Monday to Friday 12:30 – 1:30pm.
Buddha House offers an hour-long open meditation period each weekday, Monday to Friday. Bring a meditation that you would like to work on or simply come and sit in the silence and serenity of our beautiful Gompa.
Please note: this is not a guided meditation session.

Thursday Morning 10:00-11:00am
Take time out from the stresses and bustle of day-to-day life for an hour of peace and calm. You will be guided through two meditations designed to relax and give a sense of inner peace. The first a practice of mindfulness, the second focusing on healing physically, mentally and/or emotionally.
Facilitated by senior student Karyn Williams.

Finding The Calm Meditation

Mindfulness Meditation

Tuesdays & Wednesdays,
10:00 – 11:00am

Come along for an hour of gentle nurturing meditation. There is a different meditation each time, so you can come regularly or periodically as it suits you. You do not need to be Buddhist or an experienced meditator to participate or benefit from the session.

Meditation with Geshe-la

First and last Friday of each month, 11:00am – 12:15pm

Geshe-la was born in Sikkim in the Himalayan region of East India. He started studying at Sere Je Monastery in the south of India from the age of 12. Geshe-la is English speaking and most recently taught in Florida USA for the past 15 years. Buddha House welcomed him as their resident teacher in 2016.

These meditations, led by Geshe Konchog Kyab, are open to people of all ages, all faiths, and all levels of meditation experience. Geshe-la will choose topics for each session – they will be something we can all take home that will benefit us in daily life.
Geshe-la speaks and leads the meditations in English.
