OPEN MEDITATION
Buddha House offers an hour-long open meditation period 12.30-1.30pm Monday to Friday. Bring a meditation that you would like to work on or simply come and sit in the silence and serenity of our beautiful Gompa.

LEARN TO MEDITATE
Beginning simply, with a gentle focus on mindfulness of the breath, these classes are suitable for students of any level. The basic technique can lead to a greater awareness in daily life, as well as providing additional benefits for relaxation, stress reduction and contentment.

MINDFULNESS MEDITATION
Come along for an hour of gentle nurturing meditation. There is a different meditation each time, so you can come regularly or periodically as it suits you. You do not need to be Buddhist or an experienced meditator to participate or benefit from the session.

LAM RIM MEDITATION
Each week a different topic from the “Graduated Path to Enlightenment” (Lam Rim) is explored. Some understanding of Mahayana Buddhism would be helpful but it’s not essential.

HEALING MEDITATION
Take time out from the stresses and bustle of day-to-day life for an hour of peace and calm. You will be guided through two meditations designed to relax and give a sense of inner peace. The first a practice of mindfulness, the second focusing on healing physically, mentally and/or emotionally.

MEDITATION FOR BUSY MUMS
Do you feel your time is often taken up by everyone else?
Do you feel you never have time just for yourself?
Do you sometimes just want to get away from it all?
Have you got one hour a week to spare?
Drop the kid’s at school or Nana’s and come for a mini break!
Held on Mondays, during the school term to help busy Mums switch off their busy minds and to stop feeling guilty when they can’t be all things to all people. This session is designed to help Mums take a break and learn how to relax, let go of irritability and stress and to be calmer throughout each busy day.
Stay and have a coffee after the meditation and chat to the other Mums.

FRIDAY Morning Meditation with Geshe-la
These meditations led by Geshe Konchog Kyab are open to people of all ages, all faiths, and all levels of meditation experience. Geshe-la will choose topics for each session – they will be something we can all take home that will benefit us in daily life.
Geshe-la speaks and leads the meditations in English.

Geshe-la was born in Sikkim in the Himalayan region of East India. He started studying at Sere Je Monastery in the south of India from the age of 12. Geshe-la is English speaking and most recently taught in Florida USA for the past 15 years. Buddha House welcomed him as their resident teacher in 2016.
