Membership

membership

In accordance with the Buddha House Constitution, membership is offered to people who wish to support and participate in the aims of Buddha House Centre for Advanced Buddhist Studies Inc. Further details available under the “About” link above.

In applying to become a member of Buddha House, you are asked to sign an affirmation that you support the aims and values of Buddha House, the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT) and His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama.

In common with most incorporated associations, applications for membership require the sponsorship of two people who are themselves already members. This is to protect the organisation and ensure the aims are shared by members. Sponsors are signing to indicate support for the person to become a member.

Membership is subject to Executive Committee approval, as specified by the constitution. These are normally considered on a monthly basis.

Download a Membership Application Form HERE.
If it opens rather than download, right-click on it and save to your computer.
Application forms are also available form the office.

You will need the sponsorship of two people who are current financial members; come along to teachings, practices and events at Buddha House and you will quickly make friends who will be pleased to sponsor you.
